Attic Decontamination

  • Eco-Sense Fecal Matter Removal
  • Eco-Sense Attic Disinfection

First and foremost, we boast the lowest attic disinfection rate in all of DFW because we are fully aware of how ridiculously inflated the price for attic disinfection has become… We are not happy about how the industry is attempting to take advantage of homeowners in distress, so we are setting out to put an end to it. We guarantee the lowest rate, always.

Feces removal and attic disinfection are usually reserved for raccoons and rodent infestations only because these are the only two animal types that can pose a considerable threat to humans and/or pets. Raccoon feces is the vehicle for raccoon roundworm (Baylisascaris procyonis) egg transmission; the adult nematode resides within the gastrointestinal tract of the raccoon [and other members of the Procyonidae family], and it is very dangerous and potentially lethal to all other mammalian forms of life, including humans (http://www.cdc.gov/parasites/baylisascaris/index.html). The accumulation of rodent feces can become a contamination and respiratory concern when rodents (i.e. rats, squirrels) have been present within a structure at a relatively high density for a prolonged period of time. Also, there are four species of rodents that live within the U.S. that are capable of carrying hantavirus (http://www.cdc.gov/hantavirus/rodents/index.html) — further information regarding wildlife diseases/parasites and their impacts on humans is available for your viewing under the Relevant Links tab on the Home Page. Luckily, infection in humans is uncommon, but we do have a relatively affordable, two-part method for virtually eliminating these risks altogether.

1. Fecal Matter Removal — this process entails a fully-suited, HAZMAT-certified technician to comb systematically throughout the entire area of concern in effort to remove each individual feces by hand for raccoons or by vacuum for rodents. HEPA-certified respirators and filters are employed at all times.
2. Attic Disinfection — this process involves a fully-suited, HAZMAT-certified technician to apply a hospital-grade, broad spectrum disinfectant, sanitizer, virucide, mildewstat, fungicide, and deodorizer that is labeled to kill 31 strains of bacteria and 19 different viruses, to all contaminated, but particulate-free, surfaces — it is non-toxic, non-flammable, and odorless. The solution is applied and saturated into all surfaces of concern by means of a B&G tank sprayer followed by a ULV fogger.
